Welcome to Learning First Tenerife, we specialize in extracurricular courses in languages, maths, science, music and programming and computational thinking. Our courses are designed for students who are seeking additional support in their academic learning or for those who want to learn something new. Since opening our doors in 2012, we have had the pleasure of working with children and adults of all ages and abilities. We take great pride in providing an interactive, friendly and quality rich learning experience to each of our students.

Our mission is to provide students with a personalised, dynamic, fun and interactive learning experience in order to help them reach their academic and personal objectives. In each class we strive to make a comfortable learning environment where students can discover the strength of gaining and developing knowledge through imagination and logical thought process.
We achieve our mission by continuously evaluating our courses and by ensuring that we are in line with the curriculum changes set by the government, schools and examination boards.
We believe that learning takes place both inside and outside the classroom; at Learning First Tenerife we pride ourselves in being able to provide both learning environments.
Inside the classroom, we believe our students learn faster if they are having fun! Our courses provide students with the foundation they need to progress and Our Teachers have the passion and experience to ensure that our students achieve their learning objectives. We combine conventional classroom teaching through books with progressive techniques through music, games, videos, toys and much more. For our language and music courses, students prepare a Christmas and summer production which they thoroughly enjoy performing in front of an audience.
Given our countryside locations, we take pleasure in taking our classroom learning outside whenever possible in order to further enrich our student learning experience through outdoor activities. We also offer an English summer camp where students are entirely immersed in the language. The summer camp is focused on various projects involving nature and outdoor activities. Thus giving our students the opportunity to learn and practice through enjoyable activities whilst simultaneously gaining confidence and fluency in the English language.
Our teaching methodology stimulates students to learn at their own pace and to feel excited about learning. Our philosophy is completely student centric, so our learning activities encourage students to actively participate, feel comfortable and be eager to learn at their own pace.
Learning First Tenerife is located in the north of Tenerife in a scenic rural village called Tacoronte, which is conveniently located in between the city of Santa Cruz and the town Puerto de la Cruz. It is well connected by public transport and parking is also available. The academy is based within a traditional Canarian house, whose architecture is well known for its elegance and grandeur.
Learning First Tenerife offers students’ large and well equipped classrooms with projectors and modern learning resources as well as fibre optic internet access.
Our Teachers are carefully selected, they are passionate and motivated about their job and they understand our student goals, they work hard to build a good student-teacher relationship and to make learning as enjoyable as possible.
All Our Teachers are highly qualified professionals who have experience working across all ages and abilities. They are well acquainted with the Spanish, English, French and German education systems and have experience teaching and preparing students for exams from each system.
All of our language teachers are native speakers, at Learning First Tenerife, we feel that it is essential to be taught by a native speaker when learning a new language in order to develop the correct pronunciation and fluency necessary.
