English Teacher for the Summer Camp 2025

Position Title: English Teacher – Summer Camp 2025
Location: Tacoronte, Tenerife North
Dates: 9th June to 8th August
Contract Type: Temporary-Part-time, Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 15:00.
Reports to: Camp Director


Role Summary:

We are looking for enthusiastic, fun and energetic English Teachers to join our 2025 Summer Camp team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, age-appropriate English lessons that focus on communication, creativity, and fun. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with young learners in a lively, project-based setting that combines language learning with summer adventure and fun.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver interactive English lessons in line with the camp’s weekly themes and student age levels (3-12 years)

  • Use creative teaching methods (games, music, storytelling, role-play) to foster speaking and listening skills

  • Work closely with other teachers to ensure an immersive English-speaking environment

  • Support student progress and adapt lessons to meet group needs

  • Contribute to a positive, supportive, and safe environment for all campers

  • Assist with arrival and departure day routines and occasional supervision during activities or excursions (as agreed)


Requirements:

  • Native or near-native English proficiency

  • A recognised teaching qualification (TEFL, CELTA, TESOL, PGCE, etc.)

  • Previous experience teaching children in a classroom or camp setting

  • Energetic, flexible, fun and enthusiastic attitude

  • Ability to work well in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment

  • Must be legally permitted to work in Spain and have a working visa/permit


Desirable:

  • Experience working in summer camps or outdoor education

  • First Aid certification

  • Knowledge of CEFR and communicative approaches to language teaching
