This week in class, our young learners had the chance to get creative with a colourful and imaginative art activity.
The students started by painting on black paper. Once they had added their colours, they folded the paper in half and pressed it together. The real excitement came when they opened their papers again and discovered beautiful symmetrical shapes and patterns that had formed from the paint.
Each piece of artwork was unique, and the classroom quickly filled with excitement as the students looked closely at their creations. Some saw dragons, others spotted animals, flowers, and even some very funny monsters. The students then shared their ideas with their classmates, explaining what they thought their paintings looked like.
Activities like this are a wonderful way to encourage creativity, imagination, and confidence when speaking in English. By describing their artwork and sharing their ideas, students practice vocabulary and communication in a natural and fun way.
At the same time, they learn that there are many ways to see and interpret art, which helps develop creative thinking and self-expression.
It was a fantastic session filled with colour, creativity, and lots of smiles!
