B1 & B2 Easter Descriptive writing

Hello everyone,

Please write a short Easter story (maximum 150 words) using all the vocabulary we discussed in class. Try to include some of the idioms as well.

Vocabulary:  Springtime, New life, Celebrate, Holiday, Easter, Egg hunt, Chocolate, Basket

Idioms:

  • Put all your eggs in one basket
  • The grass is greener on the other side
  • To spring into action
  • A happy bunny
  • No spring chicken
  • Bright-eyed and bushy-tailed

There is an example for you below :

During springtime, everything felt full of new life. It was Easter, and families gathered to celebrate this joyful holiday together. The children were bright-eyed and bushy-tailed as they waited to spring into action for the egg hunt. Each child carried a basket, hoping to find lots of chocolate treats.

Tom was a happy bunny when he found the first egg, but his grandmother, who was no spring chicken, laughed and reminded him not to put all his eggs in one basket. Meanwhile, Lucy thought the grass was greener on the other side and ran to another part of the garden.

In the end, everyone shared their chocolate and enjoyed the day. It wasn’t about who found the most eggs, but about spending time together and celebrating Easter with joy and laughter
